2024 was filled with unexpected travel. Whether I was heading out for volunteer work, supporting clients at a conference, or serving as a correspondent at INBOUND, I felt like I was constantly preparing to leave or catching up after a trip.
But all the travel was worth it. After seven years of working together, I finally met a client in person. I also attended multiple team meetings for another client—always a highlight—and reconnected with an old but new client in Chicago. I also had the chance to catch up with former colleagues and friends from the HubSpot world, which is always inspiring.
Amongst all that, and amongst all the new things HubSpot is putting out and all the AI-related news, my goal is still the same: to be helpful to people. Whether it’s working with a small business using HubSpot starter, just trying to get their heads around inbound marketing, or larger businesses doing everything on HubSpot and needing clean-up of data and workflows and emails to the marketers who need another brain to bounce ideas off of (I’m pretty good at that!).
This year is my 26th year of building websites, my 14th year of working in HubSpot daily, and my 12th year as a freelance inbound marketing consultant and HubSpot CMS web designer. I don’t have any travel plans or big scary personal athletic goals for once, only to focus on my clients and the work I do, how to make their lives easier and be as helpful and useful as I can.
