Why I'm Excited for INBOUND 2024

I’ve been attending HubSpot’s INBOUND conference for years, especially after moving back to the U.S. in 2015. Last year, I managed to squeeze in some client meetings and work outside of conference time, and afterward, that client and I agreed we’d probably skip INBOUND in 2024.

Then, I got picked to be an INBOUND Correspondent this year, so here I am, gearing up to head back to Boston!

Here’s what I’m most looking forward to at INBOUND 2024 that isn’t seeing Ryan Reynolds:

Getting a Fresh Dose of Inspiration

INBOUND comes around just when I need a little boost to shake things up. It’s that mid-year spark that gets me to try new ideas or revisit old ones. Sure, the speakers are great, but I also get a lot from the other attendees—people who are learning new things and willing to share. It’s all about that collective energy that pushes you to rethink what you’re doing.

Making Real Connections

I’ve been working from home, mostly solo, for the last eleven years. I do virtual meetings, use body doubling apps, and occasionally work from a café, but there’s nothing like being surrounded by people who do the same kind of work. It’s refreshing to talk to others who face the same challenges. As I always tell my clients, marketing doesn’t have new problems—just new ways to solve them. INBOUND is where you compare notes and pick up fresh tactics from those around you.

Learning What’s Next in Marketing

Finally, I’m looking forward to seeing what’s new. Last year, it was all about AI, and who knows what the focus will be this year, but I always leave with new tips and tricks for email marketing, lead segmentation, and keeping data in check. It’s about staying ahead, and INBOUND is a good place to do that.
